Thanks to Samsung Canada and Bell partnering up to give away 15 Samsung Galaxy S Vibrants, we now have pretty certain information pointing to an August 6th launch. The contest, which will be awarding one device every day until the official launch, began Friday, July 23rd. With the contest details confirming a total of 15 devices available to be won, we can assume the launch date will be August 6th, and there's more. The details state the device is worth approximately $599 CAD, so odds are the contract-free pricing will come in somewhere around there.

The Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant features a 4" (480x800) super AMOLED touch screen, a 5MP camera with 720p HD recording, and runs on Android 2.1 with TouchWiz 3.0 UI at launch. It supports HSPA and Wi-Fi (b, g, n) connectivity, along with bluetooth 3.0, and is powered by a 1GHz processor along with 512MB RAM and 16GB internal memory. With expansion via microSD supported up to 32GB, you can have up to 48GB of memory in this device.
