MobileInCanada.mobi - Effective yesterday, Google has officially launched Google Maps Navigation 4.2 to Canadians running Android OS 1.6 or higher. The feature is an addition to the existing Google Maps application, and offers turn-by-turn voice navigation to users, much like traditional car-mounted GPS systems. With laws tightening up across Canada surrounding handheld device usage while driving, this is a much needed feature for users who wish to have one device "do it all". To enable the feature, simply download or upgrade Google Maps to version 4.2, which can be done by searching "Google Maps" in the Android Marketplace.
