Today it was officially announced that KOODO Mobile will be adding the BlackBerry 8530 to it's product line-up sometime later this Spring. While this doesn't come as a surprise, it definitely confirms suspicions after KOODO/RIM made http://koodomobile.blackberry.com available to the public last week.
The BlackBerry Curve 8530 is a CDMA/1xEV-DO device featuring an optical trackpad, full QWERTY keyboard, 2.5" (320 x 240) display, and Wi-Fi. It also has a 2MP camera, and has 256MB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
The BlackBerry Curve 8530 will be the first smartphone offered by the "budget-conscious" carrier, though there is speculation that more will be offered in the coming months, especially with upcoming HSPA rollout.
